Jose Luis Perez Jr is a queer Puerto-Rican/Mexican performer known for his captivating presence on both stage and screen. Film credits include his directorial award winning short Caprichosas, and Sam Jaegers award winning film Take Me Home . On stage he’s appeared in Sexo, Pudor Y Lagrimas, Getting Out, Lydia Ramirez’s Cutting Open Wings and Joe Hortuas Between Us. Perez's ability to seamlessly transition between dramatic and comedic roles sets him apart, challenging stereotypes associated with Latine characters.


Born with a passion for storytelling, Perez has dedicated his career to bringing diverse narratives to life. His work reflects a commitment to breaking boundaries and reshaping perceptions, showcasing the depth and complexity of the LGBTQ Latine experiences. Through compelling portrayals, he aims to contribute to a more authentic and nuanced representation of his heritage in the media.


In addition to his accomplishments in entertainment, Jose Luis Perez Jr has found purpose in education. Residing in Southern California, he channels his passion for the arts into teaching high school production courses.
